Kyle Bornheimer is an American actor, comedian, and writer. Born Kyle Edward Bornheimer on September 10, 1975, the 44-year was born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Starting his on-screen career by appearing in commercials, Kyle quickly became a TV fixture and translated that into a successful career in movies.

To date, Kyle has 84 acting credits amassed over a 26-year career. Here are seven facts about Kyle Bornheimer:  

7. Father of Two with Wife Shannon Ryan

Bornheimer is married to Shannon Ryan. Ryan is the President of Marketing for ABC Network and Disney Film Studios. Ryan resides in Los Angeles, California, with his wife and their two children.

Apparent by their lack of social media activity, they prefer to let their personal life be private and shield their children from horrors of showbiz.  

6. Star of HBO Space-Sci-Fi-Comedy Series, Avenue 5

Kyle is one lead cast members of the HBO science-fiction comedy series, Avenue 5. He plays one of the passengers aboard the Avenue 5 cruise ship, Doug, and the husband of Jessica St. Clair's character, Mia.

The series stars Hugh Laurie as Ryan Clark, the captain of the interplanetary cruise ship, Avenue 5, and Josh Gad, who plays the billionaire owner of the ship, Herman Judd.  

The series is set on-board the Avenue 5 and follows its adventures as a mechanical failure puts it off-course.

Avenue 5 premiered on HBO on January 19, 2020, and has since been renewed for a second season.

Other actors that make up the lead cast include Lenora Crichlow, Rebecca Front, and Zach Woods, among others. 

5. Movie Appearances in She's Out of My League, Veronica Mars, and Marriage Story

Bornheimer's diverse movie roles speak volumes about his versatility as an actor. Despite comedy being his forte, he has also made appearances in dramatic and thriller movies.

His versatility was never more apparent than in the 2019 Netflix drama, Marriage Story, where he stepped out of his comfort zone and played Ted.

Besides his dramatic roles, Kyle has also made numerous appearances throughout his career in comedic movies like Blades of Glory, Bachelorette, She's Out of My League, and Veronica Mars.

4. Television Guest Appearances in Westworld, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul

While the overwhelming majority of his television roles have been geared towards comedy and sitcoms, Kyle proved that he was not a one-trick pony when he made appearances in dramatic TV thrillers.

He made a guest appearance in a 2008 episode of Breaking Bad, playing Ken Wins. He reprised his role in 2016 in the Breaking Bad prequel spin-off, Better Call Saul.

Bornheimer also made an appearance in the 2016 pilot episode of the HBO sci-fi/western, Westworld, where he played Clarence

Besides that, he also had multi-episode appearances in the Danish crime drama Those Who Kill and the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series, Agent Carter

3. He is a Mainstay of Television Comedies and Sitcoms

Despite having a diverse portfolio of movie and TV roles, it is not hard to guess where Kyle feels the most comfortable. He has been one of the mainstays of comedic television since his 2004 debut. 

Among his countless acting credits on TV comedies include How I Met Your Mother, Will & Grace, Chuck, Arrested Development, and Modern Family. 

He has also had recurring appearances in other sitcoms like Worst Week, Romantically Challenged, Perfect Couples, Family Tools, and  Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and he was part of the main cast of the CBS sitcom, Angel from Hell.

Kyle was a starting quarterback in his high school football team, Standing at a solid 6 feet, Kyle was built like an athlete and he fostered discipline and a rigorous training regimen into a successful football career during his time at Marion High School in his hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana. 

He graduated in 1994 and attended the ivy-league Purdue University in Indiana. He decided to pursue a career in acting, trading his potential his athletic career for one in showbiz.
