He first gained worldwide recognition as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones. He followed that up with his acclaimed performance in the Netflix crime-drama series, Narcos. 

He gained legendary status as the titular character in the Disney+ space-opera-drama series, The Mandalorian.

7. Pedro Pascal Is The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian ranks amongst the most beloved TV series of 2019 and is a faithful continuation of the Star Wars saga.

What most fans may not know is that the man behind the Mandalorian mask is none other than Pedro Pascal. Indeed, Pedro Pascal plays the titular Mandalorian, but since he wears a helmet and a full-body suit and doesn't once take off the mask to reveal his identity, casual fans might not know the man behind the character.

He is joined by Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Rio Hackford, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte in the acclaimed series spearheaded by Jon Favreau.

Who could forget Oberyn Martell's skull getting squished like a grape by The Mountain? 

One of the most visceral moments in a show full of them, Oberyn might have perished in season 4, but as Oberyn, Pedro was able to stay in fans' hearts years after his death.

5. Set To Play Maxwell Lord In The Upcoming Wonder Woman 1984

Pascal is enjoying the heyday of his career and continues the trend with his portrayal of the villainous Maxwell Lord in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the DC Comics character and the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984.  

Set to release worldwide on June 5, 2020, anticipation has never been higher to see what destructive charm Pascal brings to the character and the movie. 

4. Plays Javier Peña In Narcos

After his character on Game of Thrones was killed off, Pascal was able to land a prominent role in the Netflix crime-drama series, Narcos.

Pascal played Javier Peña, a DEA agent who is part of the team tasked with hunting the Mexican drug-overlord, Pablo Escobar.
