Max Jenkins is an American actor, producer, and writer. He is most known for his comedic roles, including his acclaimed work in The Mysteries of Laura, High Maintenance, and most recently, the Netflix black comedy, Dead to Me.

7. Stars in Netflix Original Series, Dead to Me

Jenkins recently lent his comedy chops to the Netflix black comedy series, Dead to Me.  

The series premiered on Netflix on May 3, 2019, to critical acclaim. A second season was announced in June 2019 and is set to return on May 8, 2020.

The series stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as Jen Harding and Judy Hale, two grieving women who connect at their therapy group over their shared misfortunes. Jenkins plays Christopher Doyle, a friend of Applegate's character, Jen Harding.

 The supporting cast includes actors like James Marsden, Sam McCarthy, Luke Roessler, and Suzy Nakamura.

Max Jenkins was born on March 13, 1985. He was born and raised in New York City, New York. As of April 2020, Jenkins is 35 years old.

5. Starred as Max Carnegie in The Mysteries of Laura  

One of Jenkins' earliest breakthrough roles was his starring role as Max Carnegie in the NBC police procedural comedy-drama series, The Mysteries of Laura. 

He starred alongside Debra Messing, Josh Lucas, Laz Alonso, and Meg Steedle, rounding out the main cast.

The series ran from September 17, 2014, to March 2, 2016, before it was canceled after two seasons, on May 14, 2016.

Jenkins also had guest-appearance stints in numerous TV series.

He appeared in a 2011 episode of the teen drama series, Gossip Girl.  

He also appeared as Drew in a 2015 episode of the comedy-drama series, Orange Is the New Black, titled "Empathy Is a Boner Killer".

3. Star of Comedy Web Series, Gay's Anatomy

Jenkins was one of the stars of the satirical comedy web series, Gay's Anatomy.

Jenkins plays one of three urologists alongside Bobby Hodgson and Wil Petre, who compete to be the best urologist at their hospital.

The series ran for two seasons from 2009 to 2012 and became a sleeper hit. 

2. Appearances in the Comedy-Drama Anthology Web Series, High Maintenance

Jenkins is also known for his numerous guest appearances in the comedy-drama anthology series, High Maintenance.

His first appearance in the anthology series came in a 2013 episode titled "Olivia". The next year, he appeared in another episode titled "Matilda".

As the series gained popularity, HBO was the first to capitalize and picked the series up in 2016. Under a major cable channel, the runtime was extended to a half-hour. 

After being acquired by HBO, Jenkins made a return to the show in a 2016 episode, titled "Meth(od)". He also returned in the 2020 episode, "Adelante".
