Canadian pop icon, Justin Bieber released his first solo single in more than four years, Yummy last week, and now, the 25-year-old Sorry singer has made a big revelation on social media.
Bieber, who loves sharing his lifestyle on social media, said he was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, an infection caused by Borrelia bacterium, commonly spread by ticks.
In the post, Bieber addressed his social media followers, who claimed he was on meth, saying he suffered from the disease, which affected his skin, brain functioning, and overall health. He said,
While a lot of people kept saying justin Bieber looks like s**t, on meth etc. they failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease.
He further said he also had a severe case of chronic mono. Besides, Bieber also noted he would explain his battle with the disease in a document that he'd put on YouTube shortly.
Bieber further revealed it was a rough couple of years for him, but "getting the right treatment" helped him get out of the "so far incurable disease."
Meanwhile, Bieber's wife and model, Hailey Baldwin, has also opened up about her husband's diagnosis and the treatment. She said model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid and their mother Yolanda Hadid played a vital role in helping Bieber understand Lyme and how to fight it. Bella, Anwar, and Yolanda Hadid had previously suffered from the disease.
