The Challenge Caught On Pretty Quickly

The original post was made by Parton on 21 January and it became a viral sensation within a few days. From common people to celebrities everyone seems to do the challenge.

Some of the biggest celebrities to do the challenge and post it on social media are Kerry Washington, Janet Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Mindy Kaling, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Michelle Gellar among others.

Her influence has carried on even after the prime of her career. With a legendary voice and career that started 6 decades ago in 1956, the 74-year-old singer is a household name. Parton was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999.

She went to and graduated from Sevier County High School in 1964. Parton went to Nashville after her graduation to start her career in music.

Right from the start, she was successful but her sons peaked on the charts in the 1970s. In addition to this, she also has some acting credits to her name. Some of her well-known films are 9 to 5, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The Beverly Hillbillies, etc.
