Jake Lacy is an American actor. Born on February 14, 1985, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Lacy was a gym receptionist, a waiter, and a bar-back prior to becoming an actor.

He made his on-screen debut in 2008 and has found success in movies and television shows.

7. Father of a Daughter with Wife Lauren Deleo

Jake has been married to his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Deleo, since August 22, 2015.

They got married in secret in a private ceremony in Dorset, Vermont, in the presence of friends and family. In  2018, Lauren gave birth to their daughter.

6. Appeared on the Final Season of The Office US

Jake played Pete "Plop" Miller in the ninth and final season of the American mockumentary sitcom, The Office.  

With Steve Carell departing the show after its seventh season and the show consequently declining in quality, the showrunners went all-out with its ensemble cast to put forth a satisfying conclusion to the beloved show.

Jake joined the cast of Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Ed Helms, and Jenna Fischer, among others in the final season, and appeared in 21 out of the 25 episodes, providing a much-needed dose of innocuous fun to end the series on a high note. 

5. Part of the Main Cast of High Fidelity

Jake is one of the main cast members of the Hulu romantic-comedy-drama series, High Fidelity, based on the eponymous novel by the English writer, Nick Hornby. 

The series premiered on Hulu on February 14, 2020, and is a remake of sorts after the 2000 movie of the same name starring John Cusack became a cult hit. The Hulu series will star a female in the lead, taking the place of John Cusack's role.

Zoë Kravitz stars as Robyn "Rob" Brooks, a record store owner and a Top 5 List enthusiast with Jake Lacy playing Clyde.

They are joined by Da'Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Rainbow Sun Francks, among others.

4. Played Fran Parker in HBO's Girls

Lacy played Fran Parker, a love interest of the show's lead character, Hannah Helene Horvath, in the fourth and fifth season of the HBO comedy series, Girls.

The comedy series starred Lena Dunham as Hannah, with supporting performances by Allison Williams as Marnie, Jemima Kirke as Jessa, Zosia Mamet as Shoshanna, and Adam Driver as Adam Sackler

Lacy joined the fourth season as a recurring character, but by season 5, he was promoted to the main cast. He left the show at the end of season 5.

Jake has starred in many movies since his big-screen debut in the 2014 indie romantic-comedy-drama, Obvious Child. He starred alongside Jenny Slate as her love interest, Max.

In 2015, Lacy starred in the romantic-drama, Carol, alongside the powerhouse cast consisting of Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, and Sarah Paulson. Despite the sheer star power of the cast, Lacy, who was a novice in comparison, was considered the breakout star of the entire film.

Lacy also had a prominent role in the third installment of the Johnny English franchise, 2018's Johnny English Strikes Again starring Rowan Atkinson, Emma Thompson, Ben Miller, and Olga Kurylenko.
