Laurent Capelluto is a Belgian actor. A veteran of cinema, Capelluto has been an actor since 1999, debuting in the comedy short, Les amazones.

He has since amassed a repertoire of 56 acting credits. Most recently, he starred in the Netflix Belgian apocalyptic sci-fi thriller series, Into the Night.

7. Stars in the Netflix Belgian Apocalyptic Thriller, Into the Night

Capelluto was most recently seen in the Netflix Belgian apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Into the Night. With its May 1, 2020, premiere, the series marked the first Belgian original series to ever air on Netflix.

Based on the sci-fi novel The Old Axolotl by Polish author, Jacek Dukaj, the series is set in a dystopian future when a solar burst kills all living organisms and the only survivors are the patrons aboard a hijacked plane flying west from Brussels.

Besides Capelluto, the series stars a Belgian ensemble including Jan Bijvoet, Vincent Londez, Nabil Mallat, Pauline Etienne, and Astrid Whettnall, among others.

6. Starred in the Amazon Prime/Netflix Supernatural Thriller, Black Spot

Capelluto also starred in the French-Belgian supernatural thriller series, Black Spot. He played Franck Siriani and starred alongside Suliane Brahim and Hubert Delattre, among others. 

The series is set in the fictional town with an unnaturally-high murder rate that might have to do with the mysterious forest nearby. 

The first season aired internationally on Amazon Prime with Netflix picking up the second season that aired on June 14, 2019.

Laurent Capelluto was born on March 16, 1971, in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. As of May 2020, he is 49 years old.

Born to Italian parents, he was raised in Brussels, Belgium. He studied science before pursuing acting at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

4. Made Acting Debut in the Comedy Short, Les amazones

Laurent made his professional on-screen debut in the 1999 comedy short, Les amazones.

He has since appeared in many shorts like Noël 347, Eau de vie Hors cadre, The Blue Hour, L'amour ou pire encore, Grand garçon, Ingrid fait son cinéma, Fable domestique, Une séparation, and Un petit d'homme.

3. He has been a Stage Performer

Before Laurent was a notable screen presence, he was a stage performer. After studying acting at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Laurent began performing at the National Theater of Belgium and later, the Infini Theater.
