She is overly inclined towards the nitty-gritty grinders of the intelligence services, assassins. Polastri has an eerie obsession towards female assassins in particular.

She gets fired from her job at MI5 for investigating without authority, but she is then promptly picked by an MI6 and placed in a secret division chasing an international assassin that she dubs Villanelle (Jodie Comer).

After Eve and Villanelle meet, they find that they are connected by their secret circles in what unfolds a scarily thrilling plotline. Eve, true to her nature, finds the assassin irresistibly attractive, and she stars obsessing about her for extended periods.

Villanelle also reciprocates Eve’s feelings, forming the basic premise of the show. The second season also builds on the premise and makes it even more hard not to binge-watch the show. The central glue of the show is the relationship between Eve and Villanelle.

Cast, Reception, And Rating

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are the main leads of the cast, and they have won multiple best actress awards for their portrayal of Eve and Villanelle, respectively.

Fiona Shaw, as Carolyn Martens, is the leash to Eve and is pivotal to her character development. Other actors include Darren Boyd as Frank Haleton, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Elena Felton, Kim Bodnia as Konstantin Vasiliev, etc., all of whom play their characters in an alluring way.

The series has been immensely well-received and highly rated. In fact, IMDb rates the show 8.3/10, and it has a 94% rating on rotten tomatoes. Similarly, the website 'TV.com' rates the show 8.7/10.

The pilot episode also got an 8.7, and each episode was rated more than 8.3 by the website. In a similar fashion, every episode of the second season has also been rated more than 8.4/10.

As for the fan reception, the millions of viewers per episode of the show is testament to the ‘gripping factor’ of the show. In addition to this, the raving social media attention that the show has gathered is also evidence of the series’ popularity.

Killing Eve’s millions of domestic and international viewers are also on a steady increase thanks in no small part to head writer of the first season Phoebe Waller-Bridge and head writer of the second season Emerald Fennell.

What Will Be The Plot Of Season Three?

Major Spoilers!

The first season of the show was capped off after Eve sneaks into Villanelle’s apartment and stabs her. After this, the show teeters on the maybe-dead Villanelle for the next season. Obviously, she has not died and returns in the first episode of season two to continue the love-war relations with Eve.

Then in the finale of season 2, the two collaborate in bringing down Aaron Peel (Henry Lloyd-Hughes). Skip to the good part, the intoxicating relationship between Eve and Villanelle continues to mesmerize as Villanelle finds extreme joy in seeing Eve kill for the first time.

In the last scene, Eve is seen in a puddle of her own blood on the ground, but it is still unclear if she is dead or not.

Already the 3rd and 4th season of the show has been confirmed, so Eve is probably still alive. Like the former season, the 3rd might focus on the parallels of the ‘death’ of Eve and how they cannot live with or without them.
