Kevin Alejandro is an American actor and director, most known for his television roles that include his appearances in such shows as True Blood, Arrow, and Lucifer.

Born Kevin Michael Alejandro on April 7, 1976, Alejandro was born to Mexican parents in San Antonio, Texas. He attended The University of Texas in Austin and sank all his savings to move to Los Angeles, California, to chase the limelight.

He has found success in all avenues of acting: theatre, film, and television. Here are seven facts about Kevin Alejandro.  

7. Married Father of One with Wife, Leslie de Jesus 

Kevin has been married to Leslie de Jesus since before he became a household name. They got married on February 14, 2004, coinciding with Valentine's Day.

They have one child together, a son, Kaden Michael Alejandro, born on February 22, 2008.  

6. Part of the Main Cast of Fox/Netflix Series, Lucifer

Kevin has been a part of the main cast of the Fox supernatural anti-hero series, Lucifer, since the show debuted on Fox on January 25, 2016.

A DC Comics contemporary take on the Devil myth, the series follows Lucifer Morningstar as he abandons hell to settle in modern-day Los Angeles where he runs a nightclub and becomes a consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Tom Ellis stars as Lucifer with Kevin playing Daniel "Dan" Espinoza, a homicide detective working for the LAPD.

Other cast members include Lauren German, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, Rachael Harris, and D. B. Woodside.        

5. Played Jesús Velázquez in True Blood

Alejandro also had prominent appearances in the HBO vampire-horror series, True Blood

He was a part of the main cast in the show's third and fourth season as Jesús Velázquez. Alejandro revealed that he fell in love with the character due to its complexity. A witch who engages whose sexuality is very much a part of his character, Jesús starts a homosexual relationship with another witch on the show.

The highly-acclaimed show was adapted from The Southern Vampire Mysteries novel series by the American author, Charlaine Harris. The character of Jesús Velázquez was not adapted from the novel series but developed specifically for the show.

4. Played Sebastian Blood / Brother Blood in Arrow

Before he was in Lucifer, Alejandro was in another DC Comics superhero series, Arrow. While his role in Arrow was nowhere as high-profile or as prominent as he would go on to have in Lucifer, he was a major character in Arrow as Sebastian Blood.

A white-collar mayoral candidate by day and a leader of a crime syndicate by night, Sebastian Blood was a formidable nemesis to the protagonist, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. 

Kevin portrayed the multi-dimensional character throughout the show's second season from 2013 to 2014, providing for some riveting television.    

3. Guest Appearances in Sons of Anarchy and Grey's Anatomy

Kevin is most known for his television appearances. Besides his prominent roles in True Blood, Arrow, and Lucifer, he has made numerous guest appearances in other TV series.

He appeared in two episodes of the FX crime-tragedy, Sons of Anarchy, in 2008, as Esai Alvarez.

Alejandro also appeared in a handful of episodes of the medical drama, Grey's Anatomy in 2015. 

Besides that, he has made guest appearances in such shows as CSI: New York, CSI: Miami, Heroes, The Mentalist, and Bones.
