7. Plays A-Train in The Boys

Most recently, Usher plays the speedster superhuman, A-Train, in the Amazon Prime series The Boys. One of the corporate superhuman factions, The Seven, A-Train sets the ball rolling on the events in The Boys by accidentally running through a civilian's girlfriend.

He shares the screen with stars of the likes of Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, and Antony Starr, among others in the acclaimed 2019 superhero web series. 

6. Co-starred With Liam Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum on Independence Day: Resurgence

The hits keep coming for Usher, and his biggest role to date came in the 2016 epic science fiction disaster movie, Independence Day: Resurgence.

In the movie, Usher plays Dylan Hiller, the stepson of Will Smith's character, Steven Hiller, in the original Independence Day movie of 1996.  

He co-starred along with an ensemble cast that included Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, and Bill Pullman, to name a few.

5. Starred in the Sequel to 1971's Shaft

Catapulting off his growing popularity, courtesy of his high-profile roles in movies like Independence Day: Resurgence and appearances in TV shows like Numb3rs, The Mentalist, and Criminal Minds, to name a few, Usher landed the lead role in the 2019 installment of the Shaft movie franchise.

The fifth movie in the franchise, the movie sees Usher as FBI agent John "JJ" Shaft III, the grandson of the original John Shaft, played by Richard Roundtree

4. Appeared in an episode of Hannah Montana

Miley Cyrus became a child and then a teen sensation after her turn as Miley Stewart and her pop star alter-ego, Hannah Montana, in the eponymous Disney musical-comedy show.

Hannah Montana also churned out another would-be star in Jessie Usher. Usher appeared in a 2007 episode of the popular comedy show titled- "Cuffs Will Keep Us Together."

3. He is a Father to a Daughter with Tristin Mays

Jessie Usher is father to a daughter with his partner, actress, and singer, Tristin Mays. He has kept his relationship with Mays under wraps, but a glance at his Instagram account would tell you that he is smitten.
