Song Kang-ho, 53, is a South Korean actor. The mainstay of Korean films and television gained worldwide recognition, courtesy of South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho's projects Snowpiercer and Parasite.

7. Gained International Following for Parasite

Parasite is director Bong Joon-ho's magnum opus. The 6-time Academy Award-nominated black comedy thriller is one of 2019's most acclaimed films.

Song Kang-ho has two children with his wife of over two decades, Hwang Jang-suk. His son, Song Jun-pyoung, became a professional footballer, despite his father's wishes.

Kang-ho also has a daughter, Ju-yeon.

Kang-ho has been a fixture of South Korean cinema since the 1990s. His impressive body-of-work boasts such cult titles as Bad Movie, No. 3, Shiri, and The Foul King, among others.
