Who Is Holland Taylor? 7 Facts About The Hollywood Actor

Holland Taylor is an American stage and screen actress. She is most known for her work on television as Evelyn Harper in Two and a Half Men, and as Judge Roberta Kittleson in The Practice -- the latter of which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award in 1999.

She is also known for her movie appearances in such titles as George of the Jungle, The Truman Show, and Legally Blonde.

Her personal life has been equally as noteworthy as -- if not more than -- her professional career, and her relationship with actress Sarah Paulson has kept her in the spotlight as much as her on-screen work.

She was recently seen starring in the drama miniseries, Hollywood, which premiered on Netflix on May 1, 2020.

Here are seven facts about Holland Taylor:

7. Holland Taylor and Sarah Paulson's Relationship

In November 2015, Taylor revealed on her interview with WNYC radio station that she was in a relationship with a woman, and one who was much younger than her no less.

"There's a very big age difference between us which I'm sure shocks a lot of people, and it startles me. But as they say, 'If she dies, she dies.'"

A month later, it was confirmed that the woman was actress Sarah Paulson -- of American Horror Story fame.

Paulson  would herself later confirm the reports during an interview with The New York Times in 2016, saying:

My choices in romantic partners have not been conventional, and therefore the idea that it's 'other' makes it compelling. If my life choices had to be predicted based on what was expected from me from a community on either side, that's going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don't want to feel that … what I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor."

Paulson also commented on their 32-year age difference in 2017 during an interview with The Edit, saying:

"I'm with a much older person and people find that totally fascinating and odd, and, to me, it's the least interesting thing about me. I am a woman of a certain age who chose not to have children, and who has made my career my priority. I am the captain of my own ship, and I've never looked to anyone else to validate that, or tell me it's OK."
